BIODIESEL

Chemtex offers Biodiesel technology based on multi-feedstocks to produce ASTM D6751 and EN14214 compliance Biodiesel including the technology to refine Glycerin to Pharma grade.  The offered technology has low energy consumption, high yields and no requirement for waste water treatment.

Raw materials for Biodiesel production are typically country specific and depend on the availability of the feed.  The offered process can handle multi feedstocks of refined vegetable oils and animal fats including soybeans, rapeseed, palm oil, jatropha and other crude oils and used frying oils.  The process can handle crude palm oil with up to 6% FFA.

Chemtex offers plants in the range from 28 to 140 million gallons per year offering know how, basic and detail engineering, equipment and field services. 

In the effort to improve plant profitability and to maintain competitiveness, Chemtex biofuel dedicated R&D center is intensively working on biodiesel process unit operations, with the aim of defining new routes for glycerol by-products, as well as with the aim of applying process intensification concepts to selected process steps, so to gain OPEX and CAPEX advantages.
