300 TPD Sulphur Recovery Project for Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, India

Chemtex Global Engineers Pvt. Ltd. is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a 300 TPD Sulphur Recovery Project at Visakh Refinery by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, India (HPCL). The project comprises a Sulphur Recovery Unit (SRU), Tail Gas Treatment Unit (TGTU), Amine Regeneration Unit (ARU) and Fuel Gas Amine Treatment Unit (FGATU).  The SRU and TGTU package (“Block A”) will be implemented on a LEPCC basis and the ARU and FGATU package (“Block B”) on a LSTK basis.  The BEDP of Block B will be provided by Toyo Engineering India Limited. The scope of work will be undertaken by Chemtex in consortium with Fabtech Projects & Engineers Ltd. with technology being provided by Worley Parsons, USA.   Project completion is targeted the first quarter of 2012.

This Sulphur Recovery Unit, consisting of Tail Gas Treatment Unit, Amine Regeneration Unit and Fuel Gas Treatment Unit at Visakh Refinery, Andhra Pradesh, India, is being set up to meet the Euro-III & Euro-IV specifications. It is part of a 2.2 MMTPA Diesel Hydro Treating facilities being installed by HPCL.
