The renewable/sustainable chemical market is a key focus area within Chemtex, one in which we are committed to developing and broadening our offering.
Chemtex believes that the solution for bio-fuels and bio-based chemicals is based on the following key fundamentals:
- They are competitively priced compared to products from the “Black” route (at oil prices in the $50-70 US/Bbl range);
- They are environmentally sustainable with reference to Green House Gases: overall GHG sequestration balance (including biomass feedstock farming, transportation, chemicals or bio-fuels production processes);
- They are sustainable over the long term sustainability (use of marginal land);
- It is convenient for farmers to grow biomass feedstock
